After 2 hours we may require your table again – especially on busy nights! Parties of 8 or more will be encouraged to pre-order their food – any menu changes can be made up to 2 hours before the booking time – after that time all pre-ordered food has to be paid for.
And why are we called The Birdcage?? Well … we have the pleasure of overlooking the ‘Market Cross’ which “… stands in the centre of the town, at the north end of the High Street. It was built c. 1490, possibly using limestone salvaged from the recently ruined part of Malmesbury Abbey … The building is over 40 ft. high, and today is nicknamed “the Birdcage”, because of its appearance, and still serves to shelter market traders by day …”
